I've tried clearing both the Google+ app cache and Gallery cache, plus deleting the contents of the Google+ app folder in the relevant path on the SD card, and still the albums reappear in Gallery as soon as I run the G+ app again. That's what i always do after adding a Google account. Why not just remove your Google account and add it again? Immediately afterwards, click on Google Sync and uncheck Picasa or photos or whatever. Opening google plus and having instant upload on, returns the albums to the gallery It's almost as bad as Apple's Photostream!
